It's been a wierd week. Sunday was spent driving around Virginia looking at the different houses and neighbourhoods. I went to the new office and then the British Embassy on Monday to have a word with the housing officer and personnel about the moving conditions. It looks like we'll get quite a decent and large house.
After an awful drive down to Fredericksburg (south of DC) two long days in a meeting were followed by a morning with one of the US contacts I will be dealing with and then kicking my heels until a colleague was ready to depart. I had my first shopping opportunity in the afternoon and we all went to a jazz/blues bar downtown for dinner and a drink.
I've just finished shopping online at Tesco for when I get back home and will have to get up soon to pack, do a bit of shopping and make my way to the airport.
Oh well, back to the US in January.
